Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who we are
These terms apply to Central Training Partners Ltd, trading as SBD Academy ("we", "us"). Our public website is sbd.school. Our student, educator and admin portals operate as Pulse (including pulse.sbd.school and related hosts).
2. Using the website
You may browse courses, locations and educator profiles for personal, non-commercial use. Content is provided for information; course availability, prices and schedules can change.
3. Enquiries and leads
When you submit a contact, interest, support or educator application form, you ask us to store your details as a sales/support lead in Pulse and to start a communications record so our team can reply. You must provide accurate contact details.
4. Guest checkout and accounts
New learners may pay for an eligible course offer using guest checkout with an email address and card payment (processed by Stripe). We create a Pulse student account so we can fulfil the enrolment, then ask you to set a password and complete personal details afterwards.
If you already have a Pulse account, you should log in and complete checkout as a signed-in student. Misusing guest checkout to avoid an existing account may result in accounts being merged or adjusted by our team.
5. Fees, finance and cancellations
Prices are shown in GBP and may include promotional offers. Third-party finance (for example Klarna or Clearpay) is subject to that provider's terms. Cooling-off and cancellation rights depend on the course type and when teaching starts — contact admissions for your case. Awarding-body or kit fees, where applicable, will be explained before you pay where known.
6. Learning delivery
Teaching may be in-person at a listed location, online, or HyFlex as described on the course page. Educators, rooms and timetables can change for operational reasons. We will communicate material changes via Pulse and/or email.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site or Pulse (including attempting unauthorised access, scraping personal data, or abusive behaviour toward staff, educators or students). We may suspend access where necessary to protect learners or systems.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Otherwise we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from website use. Our total liability connected to a paid course is limited to fees you paid us for that course.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
